In Argentina today, millions of people with disabilities face barriers that go far beyond mobility: barriers to education, employment, healthcare, and dignity.
«Argentina is a country of enormous resilience, but also deep inequality. More than one in four people still lives in poverty, and families of people with disabilities are among the most vulnerable.»
The Reality in Argentina: More than 50% of the population lives in poverty. For the 12% of Argentines living with a disability, high inflation and vulnerable public systems turn a basic tool like a wheelchair into an unreachable luxury. 1 in 4 people with disabilities need external resources to access basic rehabilitation, education, and social services.
The CILSA America Foundation is a civil society organization that addresses the needs of people with disabilities living in poverty in Argentina. Together with strategic partners, we expand our reach and impact by providing wheelchairs to promote their social and community inclusion.
